Armed
robbers
on
Wednesday
seized
over
US$500,000
in
a
daring
midday
raid
at
a
mine
in
Bulawayo.
Three
men
pointed
guns
at
a
security
guard
before
tying
him
up
as
they
made
their
way
into
Old
Nic
Mine
in
Killarney,
The
Chronicle
reported.
The
robbers
stormed
an
office
where
staff
members
were
held
captive
as
the
men
emptied
a
desk
safe
and
the
main
safe.
The
gang
fled
on
foot,
making
off
with
US$543,076
which
was
stuffed
in
a
blue
sling
bag.
Police
are
investigating.
