to
reporting
from
Bloomberg
Law,
Winston
&
Strawn
and
the
UK
firm
Taylor
Wessing
are
considering
a
merger.
According
to
the
firms,
“Winston
&
Strawn
and
Taylor
Wessing
UK
confirm
that
they
are
in
discussions
regarding
a
potential
combination,
which
would
build
upon
the
complementary
strengths,
shared
ambitions,
and
combined
international
reach
of
the
two
firms
going
forward.”
Sounds
serious!
Now
onto
the
financials,
and
you’ll

a
sense
of
why
this
is
a
mega
merger
in
the
making.
Last
year,
Winston
took
in
$1.27
billion in
revenue,
while
Taylor
Wessing
made
€619
million
($726
million)
in
revenue,
a
new
high
for
the
firm.
Before
we
get
too
excited
about
the
potential
combination,
the
firms
are
still
in
the
playing
coy
stage,
saying,
“There
is
nothing
to
formally
announce
at
this
stage,
so
we
will
not
be
commenting
further
at
this
time.”
Still,
we
could
have
one
very
large
new
firm
in
the
new
year.
